A universal beacon of loving ♡ kindness and world peace is currently being constructed near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

At the projects core will be the world’s tallest symbol of Loving kindness – a 177 foot tall statue of the standing Maitreya Bodhisattva. Maitreya is the Buddha, or Bodhisattva of loving ♡ kindness.

At the heart of the Mongolian people’s spiritual re-connection and under the spiritual guidance of HH 14th Dalai Lama is the Grand Maitreya Project. The Project aims to help further Mongolia’s cultural revival by building a beacon of loving ♡ kindness for peace on Earth.

Connected to the statue will be a 354 foot tall stupa and complex. The purpose of the project is to help create the needed conditions for loving ♡ kindness to manifest worldwide, resulting in lasting world peace.

The statue site will also feature non-sectarian & international Buddhist temples representing many different lineages & traditions from around the world. Making the statue complex a unique place for all spiritual traditions to come together in peace.

Mongolia is currently experiencing a nationwide cultural re-connection with their spiritual roots of Buddhism. After many years of occupation, 200 brave Mongolian people staged a peaceful protest that eventually sparked into a nationwide cultural revolution. By 1990 occupying forces retreated and Mongolia once again re-gained their spiritual freedom.
